What we do

Growing brands, from producer to shelf

  1. 01 · Select

Few products, but the right ones.

Taste comes first. We select products that are different and able to stand out on the shelf.

  2. 02 · Develop

    Finding each product its place.

We work on its positioning to bring out what makes it special and help it stand out on the shelf.

  3. 03 · Place

The right product, in the right place, at the right price, with the right display.

We keep each product in step with the store, the seasons and in-store events: shelf position, pricing and promotions.

  4. 04 · Follow up

Being on the shelf is only the beginning.

On the ground, we stay close to every store, adjust shelf placements and grow sales over time.

Sourcing

At the source of good products

We go out to meet producers and discover products worth travelling for. Taste guides our selection, followed by authenticity, craft and difference.

From the Netherlands to Spain, from Corsica to Latvia and as far as Asia, we look wherever good products are found, then bring them to shelves in Belgium and Luxembourg.

Our criteria

To join Maison Gourmet, a product has to convince us

Taste above all.
It is our first criterion, and it is not negotiable. A product has to be good, make you want to come back to it and keep its promise from the very first tasting.
A real difference.
A recipe, an origin, a craft, a format or simply an idea you do not find everywhere. We look for products that bring something new to the shelf.
Commercial potential.
A good product also has to find its market. Price, margin, format and positioning must allow the store to sell it, the consumer to adopt it and the brand to establish itself for the long term.

Between producers and buyers

The right product, on the right shelf

  1. Producers

You have the product. Let’s give it the market it deserves.

We look for producers and brands who share our vision: taste above all, a real difference and commercial potential to develop.

    • A deliberately small selection, so we can give time to every brand.
    • Commercial development tailored to the product and its market.
    • A presence on the ground, from launch to in-store follow-up.
    • A committed partner to build the brand over the long term.

We choose our partners as carefully as our products. Every application is reviewed to check that it fits the Maison Gourmet selection and approach.

  2. Buyers

You have the shelf. We select what deserves a place on it.

Supermarket chains, delicatessens and specialist shops in Belgium and Luxembourg.

    • Products selected for their taste, their difference and their commercial potential.
    • Attractive margins, designed to create value for the store.
    • A selection suited to the store, its customers and its surroundings.
    • Support on the ground, from shelf placement to sales follow-up.

We favour long-term partnerships. Every request is reviewed so that we understand the store and only propose the products that suit it.

About

A passion for products, a feel for the shop floor

For almost 20 years, Amaury Vermeersch has worked closely with supermarket chains, their buyers and their products. Experience on the ground taught him one essential thing: a good product is not enough.

It first has to win people over with its taste, stand out through its identity, find its rightful place on the shelf and, above all, keep selling once it is there.

That conviction gave birth to Maison Gourmet: select less, choose better and keep every product alive in store.
