Privacy policy
This page explains what data Maison Gourmet collects through this site, why, how long it keeps it and how you can exercise your rights, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Data controller
Maison Gourmet SRL, Avenue du Prince de Ligne 97, 1180 Uccle, Belgium, company number 1031.532.939. For any question about your data: info@maisongourmet.be.
Data collected
We only collect the data you enter in our forms:
- ‘Get in touch’ form: full name, company, business email, phone, type of business or role and message;
- contact form: full name, company, email, phone (optional), subject and message.
We also record the date of the request and the language of the site. Your IP address is not stored with your request.
Why we use it
- to answer your request and get back in touch with you;
- to manage the business relationship with your company (product presentations, listings, orders);
- to protect the site against abusive submissions.
Legal bases
Answering your request and getting back in touch with you are pre-contractual measures taken at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Business follow-up with professionals and the protection of the site are based on our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). You may object to this at any time.
Recipients
Your data is intended for Maison Gourmet only. It is neither sold nor passed on to third parties. Our processors: Combell NV (Ghent, Belgium), which hosts the site and its database, and Google Ireland Ltd, which provides our email.
Google may process certain data outside the European Union, notably in the United States. These transfers are governed by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. This may also apply to visitor statistics, which are measured only with your consent (see ‘Cookies’).
Retention period
Data from requests is kept for 3 years after the last contact, then deleted.
To limit abusive submissions, the sender’s IP address is held in temporary memory for no more than two hours, with no link to the content of the request. The site’s technical error logs are kept for 30 days.
Your rights
You may request access to your data, its rectification or erasure, the restriction of its processing or its portability, and you may object to its use. Write to us at info@maisongourmet.be: we reply within one month.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, www.dataprotectionauthority.be.
Cookies
This site does not set any cookies without your consent. Only with your consent do we use Google Analytics to measure visits to the site: number of visits, pages viewed, where visitors come from. To do so, Google Analytics gives your browser a random identifier and collects information about your visit (pages viewed, duration, type of device and browser, approximate city). We do not use these measurements to identify you or for advertising.

Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Measurement data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States, a company certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which is recognised by the European Commission. Google uses your IP address to locate the visit approximately, then does not store it. Detailed data for each visit is kept for 14 months; overall statistics (number of visits, pages viewed) then remain available, without any identifier, in Maison Gourmet’s account.
Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time, as easily as you gave it, using the ‘Manage cookies’ link at the bottom of every page: measurement stops and its cookies are deleted.
Your choice, accepted or declined, is stored in your browser under the name ‘mg-consent’ (your answer and its date), without a cookie and without being sent to anyone. It is valid for six months: it then expires, is deleted on your next visit, and you are asked again.
